from what I gather this is side loadable, but with amazon moving to Vega OS, you'll probably stop receiving updates in ~2030 (if the 8GB doesn't drive you mad by then); I'll get one for $16

My personal go-to, like others, is the Onn Box. Can go with the Onn Pro which has 32GB of storage, which can be very nice. Otherwise, the other models are perfectly fine, but be sure to find ways to wipe your cache from some popular sideloaded applications, as some tend to hold on to thumbnails all the time and just murder your already limited storage space
