This 2 pack of USB C wall chargers is mainly appealing as a cheap backup set with included 3 foot cables. The chargers do fast charge some phones and the cables are described as thick and well made. But testing and real world use point to closer to 20 to 23 watts than the stated 45 watts, and the chargers can run hot. Packaging is bare bones with plastic bags and no box or warranty card, so it feels more like an emergency spare than a main charger.

  • Emergency/spare charging for people who won't leave it plugged in overnight because it can run hot, but it still works fast enough for a backup.

  • Buyers who already have better fast chargers and want cheap extras for others (family/guests) since commenters used them as low-stakes backups and reported they haven't caused issues in their use.

  • Phone owners who want to use the best charger their phone can handle and are okay with the 45W class for quick top-ups (one commenter reported 70% in ~30 minutes).

  • Repeat deal shoppers who previously bought the same set and found them "very good," so they're comfortable grabbing another 2-pack.

  • Safety-conscious buyers who don't want to risk overheating or questionable components, since commenters said they're passing due to safety concerns and one noted the chargers get hot and they won't charge overnight.

  • People who rely on the included cables being high-speed/high-power, because one commenter said the two 3' cables aren't worth $5 and another noted the chargers/cables don't match the advertised speed.

  • Buyers who want a straightforward, trustworthy purchase without QC uncertainty, because commenters warned the 45W rating likely isn't true based on other reports and low reviews.

  • People expecting true 45W charging for Steam Deck/MacBook Pro-style power draw, because commenters reported the Steam Deck indicator showed it wasn't charging at full speed and MacBook Pro testing only worked around a 45W max draw.

  • Anyone who needs reliable long-term performance, because multiple commenters said cheap chargers they bought before quit working repeatedly and cost more over time.

  • Buyers who specifically want verified 45W output, because testing with a USB tester found the chargers top out around 22-23W (and the included cables only reached higher power with different high-quality gear).

  • Shoppers who want to avoid slow charging, because at least one commenter disputed the fast-charging claim and said the chargers they received were very slow.

This works if you don't have a wife and kid(s). Or cat(s) that decide cables are there to be toys.
But for responsible adults, 100% this. Buy a quality charger and cable and be done with it. And if you are in a wife/kid/cat situation, just hide your charger and cable somewhere that they cannot find it.
More truer words have not been spoken. I wish someone had told me this before I fell into the same situation. I do the same thing now to avoid disowning family members over them losing or breaking chargers and cables. I keep these cheap ones around for everyone to use and keep the much better, fast charging ones by me. Luckily the cheap ones haven't burned the house down yet or anything lol

What device do you use to draw power? I recently got a usb tester and want to push it.
I initially used my steam deck with low battery since that was what tipped me off that these do not charge at the stated power. The steam deck has an indicator letting you know that it's not charging at full speed. I also have a MacBook Pro laptop that I use to test power draw. Either works when I'm only testing a 45W max draw.

Sounds like the 30w INIU set for $5 was a better product even though this is supposed to be 45w but maybe QC issues making it inconsistent if nothing else.

ok, I know it says 45w wall chargers in the thread, but that is not true, right? It currently has around 80 thumbs up. Then I read the thread, and people post they are NOT 45w charges, and people have problems with them, and lots of 1 star reviews when I looked on amazon site. I'm not going to buy these, but obviously 80 people gave it thumbs up, my advice is READ the comments in these threads, and learn from others. Buy it if you want, but be an informed slick dealer. It is very cheap ...maybe they work for you, ... if it was rated as 20W chargers, ... then ... I wouldn't post this comment.
