This is a solid price on a CRAFTSMAN V20 4.0 Ah battery for anyone already in the V20 ecosystem, especially for tools that need a dependable extra pack. The battery gets praised for fitting well with V20 tools, and the 4.0 Ah size is enough to cover most of a lawn on a string trimmer. The deal also looks stronger with stacked coupons or by buying two singles, though a 2 pack exists for $79 and Amazon has been around $35.10. A practical add on if you want backup power without paying for newer branding.
The battery deal can stack with a random 20% coupon in an account to improve the final price.
The V20 ecosystem can work well with existing V20 tools for performance in real use.
A 4.0Ah battery can run a Craftsman V20 string trimmer for about 90% of a lawn before needing more power.
Buying two singles can be a practical backup plan if single units go out of stock later.
Pouch-style battery designs reportedly failed in real-world work despite claims of higher recharge cycling.
The tabless-cell branding may add little beyond heavy-amp output, so paying for new branding may be unnecessary.
Amazon may sell no-name knockoff batteries at the same price, which can complicate value comparisons.
