DeWalt/Stanley/Black & Decker bought Craftsman and yet we STILL don't have a power tool battery standard.

This is a great deal. I'm in this ecosystem, and have been very happy with the performance of the V20 tools so far.

It's interesting yet depressing to see that the pouch method of batteries apparently failed in real world work. It was supposed to allow you to cycle through 2x-4x more recharges. It's been dropped by Milw. Everyone is going to tabless cells by mostly one major manufacturer. Only difference is the output for heavy amp requirements. That's it. Don't spend on the new branding of any battery if you don't have to.

Im a Milwaukee guy but I really like the V20 tools and will be using them at my other location. another bonus is people think craftsman suck on the secondary market so less likely to steal.

Agree. I got frustrated with porter cable so I bought a craftsman adapter

Interesting, can you elaborate more? You mean the Dewalt XR batteries, milwaukee forge, and other new branding are tabless cells, and aren't too much better over the previous gen? (apologies if I got that wrong)

I bought two and they were delivered to me within 12 hours. I also had a random 20% coupon in my account that stacked to make this an even better deal

Awesome deal if you already have Craftsman V20 tools. My string trimmer does about 90% of my lawn on its 4.0Ah battery. Adding a second for $40 is a no-brainer.
