I loved playing the first two dragon warrior monsters game on the Gameboy, but the reviews have convinced me to skip these newer ones. Any fans of the first two games play these new ones?

The original dwm with Terry is probably my favorite game of all time. I would say this is the best "monsters" game since cobi/taras adventure. The joker ones never hit right for me. I'm on my second playthrough now that I understand how the moves upgrade (I figured that out really late)

I bought this game at launch. Put about 15 hours into it. Need to get back into it as I love the series. Trying my best to stay away from guides and figure out breeding combos myself.
