I used it with tablet sim from TMobile.. Tablet has unliminted data, so I just set the TTL to 117 and then the router has unlimited data.. $12 bucks a month lol!

Glinet X3000 or XE3000? If I dont really need the battery??
X3000 if you don't need the battery. The only thing you'd be missing is the portability with the battery on the XE.

Slickdealer pro tip: You can add a line to your cell plan and have cheap internet and stop renting your cable modem/router from the comcasts of the world.
I've been doing this 3+ years now.
Don't hesitate.
Lock it to 5g and even after the throttling (typically after 50 gigs of usage) you're at 75mbps.
i've no feel... does 30 days of watching (using) TV content equate to well beyond 50gigs of data....

Used the non battery variant of this (X3000) for about 3 months last year with TMobile Home Internet when my modem was connecting to terrible bands, dragging my connection to unusable speeds, and no way to band lock/block. Very easy to clone IMEI of my TMHI modem to this device and I was up and running in minutes. Only reason I didn't keep it was I found my TMHI modem got better pings than this device once issues at the tower resolved. The modem in this is an x62, so a touch older but still very useable for the vast majority.

LOL - *well* beyond. SD is about 1GB/hr, HD is about 3GB/hr. both of those are -50%/+100% depending on your exact resolution, but you'll blow through 50GB in a week pretty easily.

That's my point. The data cap doesn't really matter when you lock to 5G towers. Even when you're throttled, the lowest speeds they can give you are still fast. I run the entire house, multiple TVs streaming, laptops with internet, and phones connected to Wi-Fi, all on that connection.

I am on T-Mobile.

Does the eSim option has both eSim and physical Sim?
It comes with a eSIM Physical card like this one. https://store-us.gl-inet.com/prod...sical-card. The router itself has two sim slots, but can only use one at time, with the second slot used for failover if needed.

below is outdated info, seems only for old phones that won't override router's TTL.
Samsung low end phone,
Anker USB-C gaming dock w/ Ethernet,
router that can change TTL to 65.

if Samsung phone, no need Anker hub. if other phone, Anker for better compatibility.

The modem can dynamically switch between 5G and 4G bands. If you go into the settings you can block the 4G bands and force it to only use 5G bands. It will then only choose 5G towers/cells.
I have the opposite situation--the 5G towers in my area are so far away that they are very slow; the 4G towers are closer, so I block the 5G bands and lock into the 4G towers. 4G speeds are of course typically slower than 5G speeds, so yeah, I experience slower internet.

I wish this were the X3000, not the XE3000. I don't want or need the battery. Crazy they charge a whole lot more for the battery-less X3000.
