I've got a set of 4 of these batteries for my home battery backup solution. No issues with the brand on the model, preferred a metal solution for stacking and organization purposes. I paid about $330 maybe 2 years ago, so this is a new low price from what I can tell. May add a few more eventually.

Are you able to monitor individual cell voltage with this battery?

For price comparison, the Cubix is $800 on eBay right now. Two of these batteries is about $600 shipped. So you're saving $200, but you're losing out on features and UL certs.

I too have four of these stacked in parallel. No, there is no communications with them whatsoever. The built in BMS just protects charging above 58 volts and lower than, I think 48 volts if I remember correctly.

Great price!

Curious how your batteries are set up. Are you able to power your home or are you using just for specific electronics?

I've got solar panels on my roof, and a large inverter. So I'm running 4 batteries (50ahx4 - 200ah in series) and yes I can power my whole house including AC (~6,000 watt roughly peak is roughly what my house consumes w/AC). How long depends on if I'm consuming some Solar (Day time) or running AC full blast. Varies quite a bit. But I've got my place setup so if Solar isnt available, I can fire up a generator as well and run off grid for a while.

You can throw these and pair it with most solar inverters or off grid inverters compatible with 48v. Cant use it in you car with typical 12v inverters though. use case would be a shed or something outside that doesnt have a power line ran to it.

Apologies for the ignorant question, but is this saying that basically only one of these can replace my entire series of golf cart batteries? (currently have a 48v club car precedent if that helps).

Idk about a golf cart but I got one of these to power my riding lawnmower. So I'm assuming it isn't that much harder

50 amps at 48v is a lot. But it would be the same as say 4x 12v parallel. It's powerful.

Researching via AI (Gemini), it says the board might shut off if it isn't getting the necessary amps (suggesting buying multiple to stack), but the advert says perfect for golf carts, so I was just hoping for any real world guidance.I appreciate all of the responses still.

I dont know what golf cart your using, but again, you should not have a problem. Form factor and making sure this metal case fits inside your cart is the bigger challenge. But I'd recommend going LIPO4 over Lead Acid. You can even go multiple 12v LIPO4 Batteries over traditional golf cart batteries. They will be much lighter.
Option A:
  • 6 × 8V batteries (very common)
  • Example: Trojan T-875 8V Deep Cycle Battery
Option B:
  • 4 × 12V batteries
  • Less ideal for heavy use (lower cycle life)
Option C (increasingly popular):
  • 1 × 48V Lithium battery pack
  • Example: RoyPow 48V Lithium Golf Cart Battery

Thank you for this.I have a club car precedent (2018). It is the 6x8 arrangement you first mentioned. Cart gets light neighborhood use, so I can probably get another year out of the batteries. But likely will need replacements sooner rather than later.
