This refurbished unit has a 90 day warranty where a new one has a 10 year warranty. If you're someone that uses your PC a lot, or leaves it on most of the time, just shell out the extra for the new unit.

Slightly more than previous, i believe it was 45+10$ shipping while this would be fs. That leads to a 15$ difference. Not bad at all for a 1000w psu

I take it back, its not fs. Seems like they up the threshold for fs. Not a good deal

I miss the days when refurb was like having a flood title. You took a risk at deep savings. Now they're damn near the same as an open box.

Huh, need to spend extra 10 for free shipping, or you pay 10 for shipping.

I have the RM850 refurb from corsair directly through newegg for 80$ like 3 years ago. Had 7800xt running now 9070xt. idk never had any problems. Pc runs almost daily since building it. Definitely could have problems but so far good experience for me. I would assume corsair is refurbing there own supplies and testing like any other psu they make hopefully should be good as well.

Especially one of this size. If your parts are drawing more than 500w, buy new for sure.

The only time I've had to buy a new PS in 25+ was due to new plug requirements.

Seasonic focus GX-1000w Platinum for $129.99 is a better deal since it has 10 years warranty. if you don't really need 1000w and if 850w is enough then Season Focus GX-850 for $99.99 is a better deal too. What do you guys think?

I ordered a Revival Hx1000i two weeks ago. It looked and smelled like New. Most of these units are returned from retailers.

PSU is too important to cheap out on. Better to get a new one for the 10 year warranty

I decided to grab a new one instead. $160 most places. Corsair just replaced my sf750 after it served me well for 6 year powering a 400w card. I had a great experience with their RMA process with advanced replacement. Having that same for 10 years is worth the price difference.
