when will it be unlocked? - Exactly 365 days after the day of first activation
would it be unlocked after 1 month of use? - No you have to wait for 365 days but dont need to pay for service after the first month
would it be unlocked in 1yr if i cancel subscription after 1month? - Yes. Technically, there is nothing to cancel since it's prepaid. Just dont opt for autopay and ignore text/email notifications to top up

Nice! This phone seems great for reading with its matte, paper-ish screen. FYI, I there's also a $40 web exclusive plan, but the price goes up to $120 in cart. Go with the $50/55 plan for lowest price.

Maybe because my US mobile use T-Mobile as provider. Haven't tried it with any other sim.

Just delivered yesterday. Really suprised on how it feels. The eink and matte line display really is interesting. I'm definitely liking it so far. No SIM card in the box, it activated via eSIM.

I don't like esim so I have not tested esim on T-Mobile.

So, you got this phone working with T-mobile physical SIM before the official 12-month unlocking period, but have not tested with T-mobile eSIM, right? I am asking as I want to see if my data-only T-mobile plan works on this phone before it's unlocked by Metro. Yes correct. It works fine with regular T-Mobile voice line. I don't have a data only sim to test at the moment. As right now I think this is the only phone works on T-Mobile without the 12 months wait time .
