Anyone know if this requires age verification in their app? (Last time I was filling up at 7-11 they had a lot of signs up on the pump saying I'd save big if I gave them a copy of my ID)

(I'm not sure why but I can't attach photos anymore, or do rich editing like adding links on frontpage deals?)

EXTRA SAVINGS TIPS SINCE YOU'RE AT 7-11 ANYWAY!~

1. If you pay using your 7-11 Wallet with pre-loaded funds into your wallet, you get another 3c off per gallon, nothing to do. automatically adds to the 50c discount.. This is great for people who simply want to pay cash and not charge fuel

You can first go into 7-11, let the cashier scan the bar code in your app wallet and you can add cash to the wallet. Some have an offer to earn 3000 Rewards points on their first wallet infusion of $35. You can do it by cash at the store or by linking a debit card in the app.

if you have the bonus offer, Add $35, get 3000 rewards points which can be redeemed for 6 coffees, iced coffees, icees or soft drinks (size varies by redemption choice, each at 500 points) You can use that $35 to pay for your gas or add more than $35 if you think your total is going to be say $50.

2) in the 7-11 app are ongoing 'deals'. right now you can get a large Big Gulp for 59c, under 'offers' 'drinks' There are many other food/drinks offers you may wish to get if you're at 7-11 or Speedway anyway.

3) Because of reports of 'skimmers' at gas station pumps, it is always wisest to use a linked credit card to pay through the app. Some credit cards offer 3-5% back on gas purchases which add up at $4+ a gallon. Bank of America Rewards cards do have a fuel category to choose to get 3% back or more depending on your level at BOA.

Haven't encountered that in my area. I do know they offer extra savings for first responders, military, etc with verified ID status, but know nothing about saving more off gas for giving them an ID if you're just an average guy/gal. Unless it has something to do with buying cigarettes or beer cheaper, but that's a guess.

I don't use my actual phone number for apps/websites, only my Google voice but 711 requires an actual number. Couple months back I gave in and put my actual phone number, and then the spam calls started. I can't confirm it was them but this was the first time in more than a year I used my real phone number to sign up for anything.

If you really want the deal, wait till you need gas to sign up if you haven't already, at least you can then be sure that it's going to be used. Then look at how much you saved and see if that amount was worth all the scam calls.

So nice of 7 eleven to offer this after they raised gas prices 70 cents a gallon on Wednesday night when everyone else stayed down, they are still that high but I am glad most other stations didn't follow their greedy asses
This is why I do price lock

No Top Tear gas, hard pass.
What? Exxon does offer TOP TIER gas and it partners with 7-11.
Also, TOP TIER gas just means there is added detergent, which is something you can add yourself and has nothing to do with the fuel quality. If I had to choose one, I'd rather have ethanol-free gasoline than TOP TIER gasoline.

No, it's not required.
It's 7-11 not systemd.

Yeah my guess is the savings are only for 21+ products (at least for now). Still creepy to me that a bodega wants a scan of my idea, and suupeerrr weird people would actually do it lol

Since I can't upload images for some reason: https://mastodon.social/@gintoxic...3294234409 is the sign. It doesn't mention what the savings are on but it does make sense. The gasbuddy app really pushes hard for age verification too - but they're owned by a tobacco marketing company (https://pditechnologies.com/engag...solutions/) now so yeah.

I read the other day about the 'ELEVE' being upper case with the lower case 'n' at the end and now I can't un-see it. You're welcome.
I don't get it.
