And the Oled deals keep rolling in. Wish I could take advantage of them but not in the market for any TVs for now.

For one I think Tizen is more intrusive od monitoring your activities, and no Dolby Vision on Samsung.

Pretty good? If you can make purchases from the Samsung EPP store, you can currently get a 65" Samsung S90F (which most sites rank as a better TV) for $863 + tax.

Share the specifics why this TV (a S90F, 65 inch or otherwise) isn't worth buying. Back it up with something other than your own words.

I don't know enough about the Tizen monitoring your activities thing. I guess I don't care? Maybe I should be more concerned about that. I suppose I'd need to see some sort of analysis too showing it's much worse than its competitors too.

I would rather have Dolby Vision than not, but not having it on a really high end TV isn't the same as not having it on a lower end TV.

Here's a video by rtings.com talking about that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKFR2BvOSAs

I had first heard that Dolby Vision was overblown with regard to how important it was on a high end TV (like a mid-range+ OLED) from someone that clearly really likes the Samsung TVs (he gave the S90F his editor's choice award), but I see that same sentiment echoed in other, presumably more neutral places as well.

Here are a few pictures of my 77" S90F I took in the last few days. These are just 4K youtube videos that I photographed with my Pixel 9 phone camera from my couch. Right-click on each image and open it in a new tab for more detail.

I have both LG Oleds and Samsung QLED, and of course the OLED beats the QLED in picture quality, but I much prefer the Samsung Tizen OS over LG's. They're both a little quirky but having learning both I settled in on the Samsung much quicker. The Multiview (Picture In Picture) feature in the Samsung is almost impossible to live without at this time, especially if you're sport fan like I am. Depending on what Samsung you have, their higher end TVs carry the best rechargeable remotes as well. Also, if you're in the Samsung ecosystem with phone, tablets, appliances, etc. I would say go with the Samsung OLED. The TV integration within the ecosystem is borderline futuristic and really addictive. I love my LG OLEDS, but because I'm so much in the Samsung ecosystem, my next OLED would be a Samsung, especially when the over 100" ones become affordable.

Does it have to be EPP? I have education account and don't see $863 price. I'd rather buy S90F at lower price.

The S90F is one of the best TVs ever made. Good suggestion!

Try these two coupon codes (you can use both together). One gives 10% off, and the other gives $100 off.

I got them from this thread:

No Dolby visions and no true blacks in bright light make it a no go. Even at this price for me.

With both the coupons it shows 971.99 before taxes for me. EPP account.

Some soundbars are 50% off with TV purchase. I'm thinking to add the SC9S for $283 making the total $1,363 for both the C5 65 and SC9S soundbar. Chief?
Edit: I'm in for a TV and soundbar.
