Very annoyed by this. The FAQs for who qualifies specifically states teachers, staff, and faculty. We tried to get my wife verified (works at a major university) and it was rejected. In calling and chatting guest relations, they offered no help. In requesting an escalation on the phone, I was told no such individual existed nor did they have a phone number for someone higher up. Plain English on their app, it says staff. Looked on Reddit and someone mentioned to talk with a local store manager. Was there this morning and she told me I have to send a screenshot from the app I had shown her to guest relations email because it is one of the few things she can't help with fixing. She indicated this isn't the first time staff has come to the store annoyed by this process. Either change the language on the FAQ or change the verification process.
Kind of a first world problem for us, to be fair. I am a teacher and had no issue getting my status verified a few years back. It would just be nice to have one for in store and one for online (we get some grocery goods from Target that aren't available online).
