Thanks! I've been waiting for a deal on this track saw and needed a forge 8.0 battery anyway so this works out great!

Update - I got notice from Home Depot that my order was shipped as separate packages. So it appears the saw and battery will come in separate retail boxes. This is common for some of Home Depot's combo sales.

Also an FYI...

Some Home Depot retail stores still have the 55" Milwaukee guide rail on clearance for $75.

I've been watching the Houston area stores since this SD post on 3/25. Different stores have marked them down at different times and they sell out quickly. Also a number of Houston area stores show (low quantity) stock at full price... My guess is that each local store will mark them down in time.

The Clear Lake Shores location shows 6 in stock but hardware checked twice for me but was not able to find them. I did get lucky and snagged the three I was looking for from Missouri City store yesterday. Online inventory only showed two in stock but they found 3 high on an upper shelf. These had $97.05 clearance stickers on them but rang up $75 ea.

Is there a way to return the saw and keep the battery for even less?

Ready to order one but I just found out about the new cordless track saw from DeWalt that is due next month. Hmmm.

Stellar deal. Basically the same price for what you'd pay on the used market for all 3 ($250 for the saw, $100 for the battery and $40 for the rapid charger). I live mine, except the spring resistance is a bit high imho

Thanks OP! I've had an alert on SD for like 6 months for a track saw after I missed all the November deals last year. Not a tool that goes on sale often, it seems. Cheers!

Delete - Added info on the YMMV $149 > $75 clearance 55" guide rails to my post above.

Best deal on these in a long time. This is one of the most well-liked battery track saws out there, with basically only the Makita 36V and Festool as competitors. Also has a riving knife to prevent binding, unlike the Makita.
