Okay switched back to classic mode so we'll see if I can upload some pics and share some links.

Redesign mode might be why that other users links did not work for me, perhaps ♂️

I attached some pics

Primary photo is of the tmax specs from the aovopro site and voltage and battery capacity are missing from the specification which seems pretty odd.

2nd photo is the discrpenacy of mAh capacity on Aliexpress for this scooter and then there is a voltage range listed, which doesn't really clear up on whether this is a 36V or 42V scooter. Yet, the low end of the listed range is 37v which is higher than 36V and the high side is 42V. so I'd give the slight nod that this is 42v from this one data point.

Anybody whos own the TMAX scooter able to comment on how the rear shock works/articulate?

Is there much shock absorption/movement?

I have photo attached where I wonder how it moves?

I have a fear of the battery catching fire at home when no one is home. Is this still available valid concern for these electric scooters and bikes?

I purchased this last time was posted and for roughly $200 bucks this isn't bad.I wouldn't however recommend this if you ride on any hills, it doesn't have the power to take you up and even if you zig zag up the hills its gonna be slow. If you're planning on riding on flat streets and trails it's great.

Also you will need to adjust the brakes since mine were so loose it they were dangerous . I purchased as a last mile commuter for.the train and it's small.enough to get on and off but I have too many hills near my house to recommend this purchase again
Same here got this last time at this price, my first scooter for recreation and fun. It's not bad can get up to 22 mph on flat ground but the brakes sucked and downright dangerous. Needed to get adjusted and it's a bit better now. I compared this to a friends hiboy and his brakes were way way better.

This is 36V not 48V. The picture is a lie.

What evidence do you have? But if so it would make for a very easy dispute

Oh my, how do you know that? I bought this exact same scooter last time it was posted for my kid. how can I validate? What's the implication of it having a lower voltage?

Official website says

I have the ESMAX as well which is faster than the TMAX

It would be very easy to check from the voltage listed on the charger. A 36v model would list 42v, a 48v would list 54v.
I just checked my charger and can confirm the charger says 42V/2.0A, which, according to waehrik's helpful tip (thanks for that!), implies the scooter/battery is 36V.

I was curious why the charger voltage is higher than the battery voltage. This was ChatGPT's answer, in case anyone is interested:

A charger's voltage has to be higher than the battery's current voltage in order to push electrical current into the battery.

Think of voltage like water pressure:

The battery already has its own "pressure" (voltage)
The charger needs slightly more pressure to overcome it and move energy into the battery

Nice question and diagram. Smilie

I just tested it out by pushing down on the rear as hard as I could and watching the pivot points. Pretty much all the points with an arrow in your diagram move, but there's so little movement that there's no risk of any parts rubbing against each other. I'd say there is 3/4" movement at most and probably closer to 1/2". The suspension is pretty stiff.

did you dispute the inaccurate info with Ali support? curious what they said. I'm overall happy with the scooters I got so far from Ali (Ladped and Aovopro), but this voltage thing is giving me pause now.

😔bummer, was hoping it was 48V.
Do you know what the battery capacity is by chance as Aliexpress website lists 12Ah and 10.5Ah but hard to trust when two different ones are listed.
Likely better to assume the lower capacity and actual might be even lower.

I once bought a scooter off Ali and the hard printed manual that came with the scooter had different and lesser specs listed than those on the site which one would likely predict from bait and switch sellers trying to increase their margins. This deal is not as slick.
