I want a foldable, light, well-made (not fire hazard - legit company) scooter that can carry 250 lbs, got to ~25 mph, and tackle hills. Range? I only need 2.5 miles round trip. Of course nobody makes a 2.5 mile scooter, but anything that meets the other specs will have no issue with 2.5 miles. Basically, it would make grocery runs possible without a car, to a location where walking is dangerous for part of the journey but going 25 mph on the street would be better.
Any suggestions?
How about a bike? 😉

Do you have a better recommendation? Also, were you actually able to adjust the brakes? I think it's a common problem with these (including mine) and I'd like to either fix it or get a better one (ideally, with air tires as this one has solid tires and is still bumpy despite the shockers).
I watched a YouTube video and the cable near the back wheel can be adjusted. Loosen upnthe screw and pull the cable and retighen. Its very similar to mechanical breaka ona BIKE

As for recs, reddit has taught me you either need a dual motor scooter or a scooter with torque . But the later is harder to find listed

That one has the same specs discrepancy in the photos.
Sheesh, so difficult to tell what's going on when the seller does not have accurate listing(s).

I think it must be deductive reasoning to determine the specs. If that one is $20-$25 more expensive than the other it must have the bigger battery between the 2 capacities mentioned in same listing that is used on two different product pages. right?😕

bought this on a previous slickdeal and the one i got was not a smooth ride - it shakes/vibrates when your riding - even on smooth pavemenet or concrete. Might have just been the one i got, but ended up returning it.

Bought this a few weeks ago. I like it but be careful, the screws that attach the handlebars to the body come off very easily. I lost two already from basic riding. Had to buy a set of 10 off Amazon which seems to be holding better and are the same color as the body, the ones provided are bright silver. Dangerous.

I'm seeing the same price with a $24 coupon code. What price are you seeing out of curiosity? I'm almost ready to pull the trigger, but want to be slick. Ha

I've had one for about a week and put about 50+ miles. It's remarkable for the price. It suits 235lb'ers in a flat area, and under 140lb'ers in a hilly area. I'm 200 lb and it suffers on 5% grades, but my friend is 125lb and does those hills just fine. Overall quality is execellent. The handlebar binding has a 3-way safety that stays connected even if unlatched by accident. Range is very good , I did 18+ miles after the first full charge with ~15% left . It's well built with a budget design. Suspension is excellent. The solid tires are a benefit for the most part. Drum brakes work well after burnishing ( a couple hours of hard stops). They are better than disc IMO due to less maintenance. We rode in heavy rain with no issues. The charger is 42 V so the drivetrain is likely 36V . Most of the specs (range, top speed, max weight) are fair. I've been using it to grocery shop and tour my town. Amazing value for $175 – cheaper than dinner

What's the actual speed you got from yours? I'm 185lb and got the ES80 that claim can do 19MPH, in real world on flat surface it maxes out at 15-16MPH.
