Great find and thank you. It was $140 a few days. I was about to buy it but I'm glad I waited.

It seems like M12 batteries in general are not so competitively priced, if we look at it as $ per Wh (to account for voltage differences). But if this is as good as it gets for M12, then fine. In for one.

Yeah this is the best I've seen in at least a year, I've got a couple 5.0 and 4.0s and don't really need a ton more but this is tempting

. I have a couple tools using the cylinder battery but didn't get the SDs because they were tool only. Stuck to Dewalt habitat. Now I can expand and hate myself for having rainbow colors of too many tools.

Feels like there should eventually be a flood of lifepo4 tool batteries that would outlast any li-ion by at least a 2x factor

I stocked up years ago on DeWalt 20v and Milwaukee M12 but nowadays only my DeWalt last any appreciable amount of usage

The M12 stopped working on high draw tools like impact wrench, impact driver...

It's only been 5 to 6 years as a regular home owner usage, and given how much was invested in the beginning I'm disappointed in total charge cycles I got out of my M12

Ok back to canceled order for me. I want these to last me 10 years and on circular saw and the like. No complaints with my DeWalt 20v after some years use either.

Another data point: my oldest M12 batteries are over a dozen years old, and while they have reduced capacity compared to new ones they're still in rotation. My 6+ year old batteries haven't shown signs of wearing down. YMMV but my experience with M12 batteries as a homeowner has been different
