It's the 2nd trilogy! The most recent trilogy books have "Ascendency" in their titles.

No this is not. There are a total of 3 Thrawn trilogies all written by Timothy Zahn. This is the second of three - an origin story set immediately after the fall of the republic. The original one came out in 1991-93, Heir to the Empire series. This one in 2017-19, and Ascendancy in 2020-21.

Oh you're right. In my head I was thinking the first Thrawn books were only 2 books. Thanks for the correction! Technically the first trilogy didn't have the name Thrawn in the title 😝

Correct, the first one doesn't have Thrawn in its name but everyone including myself have always considered Heir to the Empire as the "original Thrawn trilogy".

One of my favorite Star Wars books to date. Even though it's part of a trilogy, this one stands well on its own.
