This is a budget electric scooter that stands out for short neighborhood rides and kid use, with app-based speed limits and enough punch to reach the high teens or low 20s for lighter riders. The solid tires and lack of suspension make bumps harsh, and real-world range can land far below the 21 mile rating. Loose hardware, inconsistent Bluetooth locking, and warranty support tied to the original seller are also reported, making it a practical but rough-edged option.

  • Adults wanting a low-cost scooter for quick errands, because it can reach the mid-teens to low-20s mph and handle around 10 miles in real use.

  • Parents setting a younger rider's speed limit, because the app offers performance profiles that can cap it around 9 mph.

  • Short-distance neighborhood riders on smooth paved paths, because it feels stable enough there but becomes jarring on rough city streets.

  • Families buying a first scooter for kids or teens, because it is easy to ride and the speed can be dialed back for safer use.

  • Longer-range riders, because real-world battery life can drop to about 4 to 10 miles instead of the advertised 21 miles.

  • Heavy riders near the load limit, because the scooter can feel weak and may break apart under higher stress at speed.

  • City riders crossing cracked pavement or curbs, because the solid tires and lack of suspension make every bump harsh and can contribute to a fall.

  • Adults who want a confidence-inspiring commuter, because the ride feels harsh and the handlebars may need extra securing.

Aovopro will not honor the warranty if you don't buy it from their website. I bought one for my son and it is a POS.

Here is an email from Aovopro that was sent to me today regarding a stripped part on the brake linkage.

Hi, if the scooter is not bought from aovopro.com, please contact the seller you bought from. You may contact one of AOVOPRO dealer, or you may contact our sales departments on Amazon/Walmart/TikTok/Cdiscount/eBay/Aliexpress/Alibaba.Products purchased through an authorized retailer or other platforms must follow the return policies of the retailers/platforms and cannot be served by aovopro.com directly.

22MPH on this is like 50MPH on a cheap bicycle. It will do it, but its not recommend.

I keep reading parents buying these for their young kids. Why?

Kids have limitless energy and should be peddling normal bikes, running, or at least on a normal scooter pushing off with a foot.

I'm sure I'm gonna get down voted and go right ahead, but you all raising a bunch of lazy overweight kids. They don't need anything electric to make them go faster or longer.
This.

My son, wife wanted a scooter so that he can "run" around town on his own. I said he has a bike, why not bike his way to wherever.
Son says - i can go to my soccer game faster on the scooter and wont be tired when i get to the field and thats what my teammates do.

I am still resisting as i think biking is what kids should be doing but its a losing battle

The longest I have done is 9 miles r/t. I still had 2 bars of battery (out of 5) left. Mine was relatively flat but I am also on the heavier side. Needless to say, it depends on your weight and terrain. But I am comfortable that it will do at least 10 miles. It is rated for "21miles", but that is under perfect, optimal condition.

listing shows it is rated for up to 265lb. I think the issue is if the added weight will weaken the scooter. last thing you want is going fast and the scooter breaking apart. that would be a bad combo.
