Community Reviews
This PurolatorTECH spin on filter is a low cost option for Nissan, Infiniti, and some Mazda applications, with cross fit notes suggesting it can overlap with certain Honda and CX 5 setups. The main appeal is simple service intervals, since it is viewed as fine for 5,000 mile oil changes and cheaper than paying for longer life filters. The main cautions are inconsistent quality concerns, smaller filter area than the 14610, and possible bypass pressure issues on Mazda turbo engines in cold weather. It looks best as a basic fitment match when the vehicle spec is confirmed.

I just trust the Honda Engineers since I had and have high milage hondas that have served me well for many many years. Cleaner oil is better oil, especially when it comes to longevity.
("if it ain't broke, dont fix it" philosophy) I could be wrong.
I've had terrible experience with Nissans along with a large population of their car owners. Leads me to believe too many corners are being cut. Maybe that's why filters for their vehicles are cheaper, they're smaller.
I don't know exactly why, but you've just given me something to seriously think about and take into consideration I appreciate it.
Thanks.
