This portable steam sauna is a compact at home steam setup that gets hot fast and can deliver a strong sweat for far less than a full sauna. Setup is simple, and the unit can be satisfying for regular steam sessions when used with distilled water and dried out after each use. The main drawbacks are its bulky footprint, awkward hose placement, and ongoing cleaning and drying chores. Mold, residue, rust, and even melting or cracking parts are all reported concerns, so it works best if you are diligent about maintenance and returns.

That's a big assumption. I owned an older model of this sauna for about a year and used it at least once or twice a week. The only reason I ended up throwing it away was because I stored it unprotected on my balcony outside, which led to rain and moisture causing mold growth all over the tent that I could not clean. If I had properly stored this thing it would be going on 2+ years. The water heater still works and I still have that component.
Any price with .97 at Costco is a managers special and item is never to be restocked again.

Augusta, GA still had plenty left as of 6 pm on 6 May 2026 (at the discounted price of $100). I didn't count, but in excess of 10. It doesn't get as cold here or for as long, but my wife still wanted one.

I have been using a cheap Chinese one (with bad zipper) until the steamer too stopped working for about 2-3 winters, and $100 isn't bad provided you save receipt and return it when it dies. Very space consuming and drying after using is a chore. I like steam but probably will want a infrared type next time because cleaning/drying sucks.

135 degrees sauna is basically worthless. It's more of a steam shower but not traditional sauna imo. 160f is the floor I would consider acceptable for actual sauna benefits.

Wash in bleach (instead of detergent) in washing machine :Gentle cycle. May require a couple of cycles. Will come out with all mold clean and gone. Should have saved it.

Haven't faced any such problem. Have been using is regularly 3 times a month since last 6 months. Hope it stays working.

Pro Tip: Get a simple letter from your doctor stating a steam sauna is recommended for your health. Then buy using HSA/ FSA (pre tax money).

We just leave it open and it dries all by itself by the next day. Looks like our weather doesn't mind.

Don't be fooled. It does get very hot. 3rd level is unbearable for my family (except me). I like the steam shower part. Very relaxing.

Bought last week and used it M-F and it gets nice/hot (Level 3) and I stay in 20-25mins. Key is to use distilled water ONLY. Used regular water a few times and noticed residue/need to wiped it down. I now just open it up and over night/day it dries out completely ready for next use. Towel on floor and chair also helpful. Worth $$$.

Bought one last week and used M-F. Nice, sweaty, and hot (level 3, 20mins). Get a better night's sleep. Key is to use distilled water, not tap water, to avoid residue(mold) and needing to wipe it clean. I now just open it up to air dry over night. Towel on floor and chair also helpful. Def worth the $$$.
