The Pixel Fold stands out as a large-screen foldable that still handles everyday use well, with software updates improving it and real-world battery life reaching about three days for some. The inner display is the main draw, though it is not used often enough to justify the extra weight for every routine. Performance concerns center on the Tensor G2 and the short remaining update window, which ends June 1, 2028. The price also feels less compelling next to earlier open-box offers and recertified units. A sealed, new-in-box order with accessories and no battery use has also been reported.

  • The Pixel Fold can handle daily apps and Hoyoverse games without reported issues.

    FuschiaJuice666

  • Software updates have helped the Pixel Fold quite a bit over time.

    moctezumax

  • The Fold battery can last about three days in real use.

    FuschiaJuice666

  • A prior order reportedly arrived sealed in the original box with accessories and no battery usage.

    FantasticHealth132

  • Pixel Fold update support is expected to end on 01 Jun 2028, which can make the purchase less attractive.

    fintlewoodlewix

  • The Tensor G2 can be viewed as inadequate, and a low price does not automatically make it a good deal.

    Peerless_Warrior

  • The extra weight may not be worth it if inner-display use is infrequent.

    dougpaw57

  • The listing being marked "new" may not guarantee brand-new condition, original Google accessories, or zero battery usage.

The Tensor G2 in the Fold is junk. Cheap doesn't mean good deal!
Actually the software updates have helped it quite a bit

The pixel 11 with a year of unlimited service costs only a few dollars more, that's a hard pass for me.

I would avoid the 6a for a few reasons:
1. Some 6as have an issue with their batteries. There is a recall so you can get them replaced or get a $100 if you are in the USA. If you don't want to change it, their firmware will restrict your charging to 80 percent.
2. Some experienced high battery drain due to weak antenna gain. I didn't do that wasn't really an issue.
3. I liked my pixel 6a at first, but the latest updates started to bog it down.

Mine was subject to recall. In the end I took the cash, and traded it in for an additional 60 dollars.

There are a lot of stupid hot takes in this thread. Pixel Fold is more than adequate for everything you need in your daily. I have one, plays all the Hoyoverse games without a single problem. Any other game either has a cloud version that's literally just streaming, or it's a game I play on PC/Steam Deck. I don't know how Fortnite or Roblox run because I'm a weeb not a tween. Tensor haters likely use more AI than I do. Just get Apple's newest $2000 brick if you're so concerned with performance.Re: losing "support" from Google in 2 years -- install GrapheneOS. Couldn't be any simpler to protect your privacy. Imagine getting a Google phone NOT to install Graphene on it.It's not a bad phone, it's just not a good price. You can buy recertified Folds on eBay for $100 less, and there are often zero issues. But "muh battery life" means nothing. My Fold battery lasts for 3 days, much longer than my Samsung Flip 6 with Snapdragon did after OneUI became overcrowded with AI spyware. You don't need new when all the replacement parts came from the same manufacturer. Likely the same part of China as all the iPhone components you're shelling out 5x the price for did.
Can you send me the link for the sub $100 fold? I would buy a couple for the kids if it's true

Google is terrible about rolling out updates that cause problems with their phones that are more than one generation old when new ones come out. My two phones are a pixel 7 and a OnePlus 9 that I got on sale at Best buy for $99 when it came out. The OnePlus 9 is hands down the better phone with less issues at this point

For some reason all Pixel 7 phones were dogs.
