• Husqvarna offers an extended 5-year consumer warranty if you buy a short gallon of their overpriced, branded pre-mixed fuel on the same receipt at your tool. https://www.husqvarna.c
• Only use ethanol-free fuel. Ethanol related damage is not covered under warranty. They check.
• It's been my experience that Husqvarnas are reliable and very easy to get parts for and work on when needed. They're meant to be cared for, used and serviced for decades, not disposed of and replaced every time something goes wrong like a "value" brand. Buying them on sale is always appreciated.
Community Reviews
This Husqvarna 150BT is a strong entry-level backpack blower known for serious power, easy starting, and long-term durability. Community reports describe units still running well after 7 to 20 years, often with little more than a spark plug or fuel line replacement, and parts are said to be easy to find. The sale price is far below recent big-box pricing, though the warranty boost requires buying Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel and the fuel mix must be handled correctly. It is also a gas blower, so California restrictions and noise or fumes may matter for some yards.
Common Questions (4)
Yes, it is described as a strong entry-level backpack blower with plenty of power for larger jobs, including half-acre and multi-acre yards. It is also reported to outperform many battery blowers, though one comment notes the smaller nozzle makes it less powerful than some higher-CFM units.
It can run for well over a decade with basic care: multiple owners report 11-15+ years of use, with only minor fixes like a spark plug or fuel line. Using the correct 50:1 mix and ethanol-free or recreational fuel helps avoid damage and makes starting easier.
The extended 5-year consumer warranty requires buying Husqvarna branded pre-mixed fuel on the same receipt and then completing the warranty card. The qualifying fuel can be added at checkout, and the warranty extension is found by clicking through the card rather than being obvious on the product page.
No, these gas backpack blowers are reported to be illegal in California. If you live there, this deal is not a usable option.
