So what do you do with the dead batteries after 4 years or so?

Nice find. I haven't seen this entry level backpack blower this low in a while. Some of my thoughts copied from the H chainsaw thread:
• Husqvarna offers an extended 5-year consumer warranty if you buy a short gallon of their overpriced, branded pre-mixed fuel on the same receipt at your tool. https://www.husqvarna.com/us/disc...-warranty/
• Only use ethanol-free fuel. Ethanol related damage is not covered under warranty. They check.
• It's been my experience that Husqvarnas are reliable and very easy to get parts for and work on when needed. They're meant to be cared for, used and serviced for decades, not disposed of and replaced every time something goes wrong like a "value" brand. Buying them on sale is always appreciated.

Wait until you find out how dirty lithium mining and the batteries that end up in landfills leaching into ground water etc.

Honest question, why don't folks you know, mulch their leaves? It is free nutrients, and takes WAY less time. Nobody really cares about your golf course yard, there are other ways to avoid your family. Thankfully, these are illegal in my city. Anyway, ready to take the hate from all the lifted white truck pavement princesses.
Because they're too busy growing the #1 crop in the nation: grass that serves no purpose.

Paid almost to the penny, the same amount for a refurbished version, exact same model, on EBay in 2017. Buying one just because..

Yeah I really hate all that extra power and not having to constantly recharge batteries.

I'm pretty surprised this deal is still available; wondering exactly how many of these Lowe's has?!?

Bought a refurbished one a few years ago. Starts up first pull every time. I use mine 3 times per week just to piss off the Karens in my neighborhood. Love it!

I've had mine for at least 5 years. I only had one problem, a cracked fuel line but it was a quick and easy replacement with a part off Amazon. Not too uncommon for a 2 cycle apparently. Tons of power, great for my half acre yard that's completely surrounded by trees. I kept upgrading until I got to the backpack blower and haven't looked back. Considered going electric if this ever dies but still hanging in there. From the sounds of it, will continue to hang in there for another 5 years at least.

Consider going battery-powered/electric. Gas leaf blowers are terrible for the environment and extremely annoying to your neighbors.
I have a relatively small yard . I rake my leaves then use a corded Black & Decker blower/ vacuum mulcher to mulch and am happy with it. I also have an across the street neighbor with backpack and handheld 2 stroke blowers and the way he uses it, with the up and down revs vrooom vroom vroom vroom vroom ad nauseum is indeed annoying. If he kept it at max rpm the whole time it would be less so. He also takes numerous breaks so this goes on for hours. He also mows his lawn 3x / week. So I see your points.

Dang, looks like I just missed it. The image still has Deal of the Day on it but the price is back to $400. Congrats to those who got them; it's a fabulous machine. I destroyed mine by picking up the wrong gas (regular vs 50:1) one day.

I mean, even just four-stroke blowers are far better. Why not get one of those if electric doesn't cover your needs?
