I have a co worker (construction) who has kobalt tools and swears by them. Most guys have milwaukee.
The radio isn't bad. Its not a bose pill but it's fine. At this price I'd buy if I didn't already have a lot of tools.

Correction: the $99 kit doesn't contain a hammer drill.

bought one of the kobalt sets back in 2019 and have used the tools well beyond our remodel. the only issue I had was with the chuck on the hammer drill that bound up(I tortured the drill and used it for gypcrete and mortar mixing); it was within the 5 year warranty and Lowes swapped it out on the spot. Overall nice quality tools for the price

Really? Most of the reviews and people I've seen on this site say the warranty is a nightmare and they want you to send the whole entire set in (if it was part of a set). Like in this scenario if the radio goes bad you'll have to send in the impact, the drill, the battery, the charger, and the bag.

Oh odd. Perhaps they changed the warranty terms. The store I bought the set from gave me no trouble with the exchange. I believe the original warranty said to bring the broken item to store

I got this just for the radio. I bought the flex radio and it sucked so im hoping kobalt is louder.
