Just check with your Dollar General store before making a trip there, many Dollar General stores will only accept cash for gift cards.

The register did not ring up 10% off in Arlington, TX. The cashier shrugged and guessed that corporate would get around to putting in the discount later today.

I just left my local DG Market. I was able to do 4x $500 cards with my credit card at $1800 in a single transaction.

Lucky! I was told anything over $100 would be cash only, even if you purchased cards in separate transactions. So I used the cash I had on hand to get $450 for $405.

I bought the last 4 they has at the wake Forest nc store.. 4x500

I did have to call my bank about fraud detection, but once done no problem..

They had no limit on how many, besides only having 4 cards left.

My local store didn't have the promo advertised and the cashier didn't know about it but they did ring up correctly. Bought multiple cards and used my Amex's.

I was able to get them at my local store. 2 x 500 with debit card. No issues and rung up correctly

I had to go to three stores to get what I wanted. First one said cash only and wouldn't load more than like $20 on that card. Second one said card is fine but they can only do $200, so I took that. Third one let me buy $1500 worth with card no issues. I thought I'd post on here to share my experience and to give others heads up. I would recommend you try a bunch of stores in your area until someone lets you get what you want. Very annoying and took me like 45 minutes all said and done.
