Watch. They will buy eBay to liquidate their stores and transition to a purely online model. Trade in your games via mail, get eBay credit.

I find it so ridiculous that a company that is shutting down stores and broke is literally buying eBay for $54 billion. That's just as ridiculous as Sky Dance buying HBO and Warner Brothers for 115 billion when they're only worth 18 billion make it make sense

Wow 😳
I had heard the rumors the past few days but hadn't heard anything concrete. Going to have to look this up but yes, it didn't make sense to me either how a corporation struggling to survive is able to somehow leverage itself into apparently being the buyer of eBay.

Their CEO is an edgelord scumbag manchild in the mold of a certain other CEO of Twitter and Tesla.

Though to be fair, these particular deals long predate the "heehee $420.69" ones.

As an aside, this is a decent deal although you're likely to only find previous-gen games at this price.

Yeah, the meme stock helped them a few years ago, but I don't see them lasting long-term. The store experience is a joke -- it's just walls of Funko POPs that people don't want anymore, trading cards at scalper prices, and games that don't have the original cases. And their "pro" membership keeps getting more expensive while they remove benefits.

I don't normally go to Gamestop. Do any of their used games come with the original cases and manuals? Or are these just loose discs?

They are the roughest used games you will find. They'll put it in a generic case if the original is missing, which it often is.

It varies. You can check the box on the shelf before you bring it to the cash register. Make sure to state you want the CIB, or they may try to switch it to a generic GameStop box, without the manual.

Do they have a list of games that qualify online or do you have to go to the store?

So, about the deal, does this require Pro membership?
