They are the roughest used games you will find. They'll put it in a generic case if the original is missing, which it often is.
maybe its just your area? I've very rarely gotten a used game with their generic case, its usually the original

Does GameStop even have the money to place a bid for eBay?

In-store only.
Gas prices kill the deal.

They offered them $0.10 on the dollar in store credit, with hopes they can sell it back at nearly full markup to a new buyer shortly after...

This made me wish I hadn't traded my $10 GS gift cards for $5 Amazon each.

If Gamestop buys eBay, eBay will turn to complete garbage.

Is usually the case for older titles.

This would be like Ubisoft trying to buyout Take Two

I find it so ridiculous that a company that is shutting down stores and broke is literally buying eBay for $54 billion. That's just as ridiculous as Sky Dance buying HBO and Warner Brothers for 115 billion when they're only worth 18 billion make it make sense
That's crazy. Had they not shut down my local store, maybe there'd be hope to buy a used game with a proper case and artwork.
The irony is I started buying from eBay before the problem got so bad, simply because I could inspect what I get ahead of time. And it was often cheaper there too.

Unless you can find some games that originally retailed for $20 or less, good luck even FINDING four games under that price worth buying. How is this even a deal, much less a Frontpage one?

I won't give Gamestop another dime of my money. Been shafted by them multiple times regarding their return policy and "new" (yet somehow opened games that don't even include things like DLC vouchers and inserts that come with the game new).
