I've bought directly from this company before, just be aware that they ship in a normal cardboard box with a single layer of bubble wrap around the tanks, my collars were damaged in transit on my 2 30lb tanks for my RV and they offered a small discount, as it does not affect the function only the appearance. Just wanted to share my experience with flame king as a company. Would recommend the product and company both. Just don't be surprised if the tank doesn't survive the trip to you as it left the factory.

Same here with the larger tanks, the 5lb one I ordered was packed a lot nicer though, probably because it would get thrown a lot more in transit.🤷 ♂️

This is a Flame King product but it's going to be shipped from and by Amazon. Hopefully Amazon will add more wrapping and filler.

Been this price at a couple vendors for some time now. Good deal for what it is (larger than the 1lb tanks but still highly portable) but less of a deal compared to the larger tanks at potentially lower prices if you do not need portability.
I mentioned in a prior thread for this deal that a Costco near me fills propane tanks but that was before I had the tank in hand. I paid $2.91 to fill this at the Costco in Cumming, GA on 4/22/2026.

Doesn't look like Costco has these tanks in stock yet. Usually they start bringing them in around now. Last year they were in the neighborhood of $40.

I love how Amazon continues to inflate the list price so that it looks like it's more of a sale. It may be a good deal but Home Depot has had this for 49.99 for a long time and the list price is $79.99.

This deal is for a 5 lb tank; not a 20 lb BBQ tank. I guess there must be a use that a 5 lb tank fits that a 20 lb tank doesn't, but damned if I can think of one. I take a 20 lb tank with me when I go car camping and use an adapter hose for appliances that were built for 1 lb tanks.

Well... in your case you pay $20 because you have an empty tank to exchange.
With this item people would buy to have something nice looking to keep and refill. Plus it also cheaper to refill than to excahnge.
