I believe these are $50 in store. I own 3 of the previous model and was using them to cool the house before getting AC. Only differences I saw were they added louvers to the vent and increase max air output to 4 instead of 3. I'm curious if it actually outputs more CFM or if "old 3" is equal to "new 4" and they lowered CFM on the other settings. Either way, this thing moves a ton of air. With all 3 going at the same time, it got a little loud.

I doubt it. It is still a 1/2hp fan. That being said these things are awesome. I use them for my bike trainer with a smart switch. Highly recommend them.

Got mine a month ago and using it for indoor cycling, it really moves a lot of air. Just keep in mind this is direct path air. Best comparison would be a normal fan is your shower that puts water at lower pressure over a larger area whereas this is a power washer pushing a lot of water hard over a much smaller area.

It's certainly pretty, but man Lasko is a total pain for making it all but (or fully) impossible to find the CFM on their products. Air push volume matters more than anything else.

Bought one because I saw a model on sale at HD one weekend and thought to myself, "What would I ever use that for? I don't need it."
Since that time I had to dry out carpet after a shower drain stop up, done a couple room painting projects, and need to air out a room after a detergent spill. I knew there was a reason I like to buy things even if I don't have a practical use in mind. Joke was on me.
