I have this and it's use case is quite limited. First of all, I love it. I had the Snapchat Pixy until it got recalled and I bought this. I mainly use it as a selfie drone when I travel. This is a VERY good price for an beginner/entry/casual drone. I paid $240 (launch and fly more pack) and I thought it was worth it.
That said, please be aware that there are SIGNIFICANT restrictions on where you can fly it. As others have said, yes, there are NO obstacle avoidance cameras or sensors on this. You will need to have to have a wide-open berth of open area around you. You also can't fly it over water, e.g., pools, lakes, ocean, etc. Also, if you live close to an airport, you may not be able to fly your drone there. Many cities like Tokyo, Beijing, have city wide bans on drones. I tried to fly it at a California state beach and was told I can't fly it there. You also can't fly it if it's too windy. Be aware of the shrill whine of the drone. So, if you're indoors, it may be a nuisance to others. Even outdoors, if there are a lot of people, it will be a nuisance. Again, there are just a ton of restrictions. Purchase with your eyes wide open.
On the occasions and places where you can fly it, it is indeed fun! The fascination from others watching it follow you is endearing. Many have come up to ask what it is and how it works. Someone even asked if it's 'magic!' The footage is stable and clear. The software, although kind of basic, is intuitive and easy to use. At this price, I'd highly recommend it!
It's very user friendly, it'll take off and land from the palm of your hand and do quite a few different shots without even opening the app. Object avoidance is pretty good for what it is, but it also has prop guards and is fairly tough.
If you've flown a Mavic 3 you'll do fine with this. The app controller isn't as precise as a real controller but it does well enough.
I believe some people try to increase their chances of winning the daily prize so they randomly go to the next post and thumbs up if they are nice, and thumbs down if not.
Tempted for my soon to be 12 y/o. Of course my drone friends say get the Neo 2 but it's double the price. They also recommend the controller with the screen as they say pairing the phone can be a pain. It's strange you can't find the controller with screen sold paired with Neo or Neo 2. The version of Neo with the goggles is also $369 though. Which way to go…

This little drone works great I used it for a long time walking on trails by itself following my wife and I I upgraded to the RC2 controller with the screen and that made a world of difference where I can fly it a mile away and have much more control in the video and photos are not bad They're pretty good They're not great like the flip or mini 4 5 pro But the video 4K is not bad. It's best to get three batteries cuz the batteries run out really fast 10 minutes 12 minutes. I mostly now use my flip because of the better camera quality and it could still use the RC2 controller with the screen I also have a couple extra controllers brand new with the screen if anyone's interested I'm in New Jersey
As a heads up this is more of a FPV so it will follow you on runs, walks. Also can do a "Dronie" which is a selfie with a drone. This can be used as a Manual control drone as well but without the controller(N2) it is limited in range and to a smartphone app control.
I was able to get some nice drone footage by a river in Oregon but at first it took off too fast and was not setup fully and almost dropped into the river but at the last minute it raised back up.

I have a little old mavic drone that I take exterior videos of buildings with. I'm not great at it. Do any of these newer ones have some kind of programming where you can map what you want them to do and they just take off and follow a path around a building etc?
