I currently have BD internet security. Can I add this or does it start a new subscription to BD Total Security?

This did not stack up for me. I went to add the code and it said expires two years from today when my current subscription expires at the end of the year. I've save the code and hopefully it will work at the end of the year.

Just as a note to people, this can stack up to 5 years max. However, this must match your existing product or it will try to add it as a separate license. I used the following steps to extend mine:
  1. Go to Bitdefender Central, log in, and go to the subscriptions tab.
  2. Click the button to activate the code. Paste your activation code in the dialog and activate.
  3. It will ask for your billing information for renewal. Scroll down to the bottom of the dialog and click the "later" link to skip it.
  4. A final dialog will ask you if you want to extend your current subscription or activate it as a new one. Choose to extend the current one.
Again, it can only stack up to 5 years. If it goes beyond that, it will try and add it as a new license. That's probably what happened in the post above.

I can confirm that these instructions work perfectly. I had a Bitdefender Total Security 5 device license that expired in 1,010 days (approx 2.77 years). I purchased a new 2 year 5 device license for Bitdefender Total Security from Newegg for $24.99 after coupon code. I followed the above instructions, and I now have a 5 device license that expires in 1,740 days (approx 4.77 years). Thanks for your help! I have been using Bitdefender for years (and years), and it has consistently been one of the least troublesome products of this type.
