Community Reviews

This DeWalt oscillating multi tool kit stands out for the extra accessories bundled with the Home Depot version, including the yellow storage box, tool bag, blade case, and more sanding paper. The 20V 2.0Ah battery and brushless three speed tool make it feel like a stronger package than similar Lowe's or Amazon listings, and the yellow plungepoint blades are described as more precise and longer lasting. The charger is a point of comparison, since the included unit may differ from the expected model. A solid value if the accessory bundle matters.

  • The kit can include a storage box and a tool bag for organizing blades and accessories.

  • The included plungepoint blades may be designed for a different tooth profile that improves precision and extends service life.

  • The Home Depot bundle may ship with a faster DCB107 charger that can charge the 2Ah battery in about 1.5 hours.

  • The plungepoint blade set can come with extra sanding paper, which reduces the need to buy consumables immediately.

  • Some purchases may arrive without the yellow box or bag even when the price matches a comparable kit.

  • The charger model in the box can differ from expectations, such as receiving a compact DCB1102 instead of the listed charger.

  • The Lowe's and Home Depot model numbers can differ, so accessory and battery contents may not match across retailers.

  • The DCB107 charger can be too slow for larger batteries or multiple batteries compared with the DCB112 charger.

Great deal on the DCS356D1 kit.
I paid $99 probably 5 years ago.

I just bought the same thing at Lowe's the other day for the same price, except mine didn't come with the little yellow box or the bag. BS

Same. Threw the box in the recycling yesterday. That's how it goes though!

Just purchased similar set on Amazon for same price. Returning that one. This one comes with so much more. I can handle one less blade. Free bag and box. 20 more sanding paper.

I bought this at lowes for $99 but came with 1.5 battery and only one blade i think and a charger and bag. this looks like better deal with better battery and more accessories.
The Lowes Model #DCS356C1
Is different than the home depot Model # DCS356D1
Anyone know the difference between the two?

Posted in toher thread too... those regretting lowes/amazon vs current homedepot deal with box/case:
it seems the yellow "plungepoint" blades are supposed to be different tooth, more precise, longer life... they are not cheap by themselves.

I actually think the Home Depot deal is better, and not just because of the extra sandpaper, storage box and tool bag. It comes with a better charger. The DCB107 charger takes 1.5 hours to charge the 2Ah battery this comes with. The DCB112 charger only takes 1 hour to charge the same battery. If you're using the DCB107 to charge larger batteries, or multiple batteries, it's just too painfully s-l-o-w.

Returned the Lowe's deal to get this one. Seems pretty solid. Have some outlets to cutout next week so will put it through some paces.

Thanks for the post!
