I'll pull the trigger if it is 599, right now it still too expensive for what it can do. Might as well buy a MacBook neo and cheapest iPad

I agree, $500 for this is already a stretch, let alone $700+. It is a tablet and has the functionality of a tablet. I personally, am not a fan of the 13" - it is too large and heavy for a tablet use. Better go with a laptop.

I mean... Sure but different use cases. Note taking, white boarding etc, all stylus driven... Can't really do that on a laptop. Content consumption absolutely but not these things.

M3 - > M4 apparently is quite a bit of jump, leaves a 6yr runway for the tablet before replacing. With RAM prices being what they are, I doubt anything more than 12GB will come down to a $600 price point anytime soon. But who knows?!
