Got this a few years ago with a 6ah, 4ah and a 2ah for the same price. It's still going strong with using it almost daily cleaning up behind a dog and a toddler.
Thanks for reading for me. lol.
but this is just the low end pet version with single roller.
the one I bought is whisper tech and has two rollers.
test and reviews point out that the dual roller is better at picking things up.
This Ryobi ONE plus HP stick vacuum kit stands out most for the battery bundle, since the included batteries make the effective vacuum price much lower for anyone already in the ONE plus system. The vacuum itself is described as handy for cars, hard floors, rugs, and quick cleanup, with good suction, easy maneuvering, LED lighting, and convenient detachable use for hard to reach spots. Battery life is solid with the 4 amp hour pack, while the 2 amp hour pack feels small for larger areas. The main knocks are weight, a small filter that needs frequent emptying, and weaker performance than top cordless rivals, especially on pet hair or bigger jobs.
Households with other ONE+ tools, because the included batteries make the vacuum portion feel like the real value.
Buyers who want top-tier pet-hair pickup, because the single-roller pet version is described as the low-end model and dual-roller versions are said to pick up better.
Shoppers expecting premium suction like a full-size corded vacuum, because it is repeatedly described as lower power than Dyson- or Shark-class machines.
It is fairly heavy for a stick vacuum, and some users find the top-end model especially heavy compared with lighter cordless options. It still maneuvers easily for many people, but the weight can be noticeable, especially with a heavy battery installed.
This is the lower-end pet version with a single roller, not the premium Whisper model with dual rollers. The brushless motor is included, but the mostly black housing model is described as the top-tier version.
Without the batteries, the vacuum is about $129, so the value mostly comes from the included battery pack. With the batteries, it can make sense for ONE+ owners because the batteries are reusable across other Ryobi tools.
It cleans well with strong suction, works on hardwood floors, large rugs, and small DIY cleanup, and the detachable handheld setup helps with hard-to-reach areas. The LED light helps in low light, but the filter housing is small and may need frequent emptying.
A 2Ah battery can feel too small except for very small areas, while a 4Ah battery is only barely enough for roughly 500 square feet in one use case. For larger cleaning jobs, the included batteries are more practical than a single small pack.
The only Ryobi tool I've bought (stick vac) that I threw away. There are better stick vacs out there.
I own about a dozen Ryobi tools and find them to be a great value for a DIY homeowner. I bought the top of the line whisper series stick vacuum a while ago and was thoroughly disappointed. It didn't hold a flame to the Tineco I had from Costco. I wanted it to be good because it used the ryobi battery system and that would make my life much easier. I was wrong and I regret my choice.

Yeah I bought their latest model (mostly black stick vac), and it was so heavy for a mobile stick vac. My brother has one from Samsung and that one is so light compared to this. I also have Ryobi's jobsite stick vac, and I love it. It's even lighter than the Samsung one. I don't have carpet. All hard floors. Returned the advanced stick vac and stuck with the jobsite vac.

If you have realistic expectations for this item I think it would be very useful.
I've had mine for over 1 year and I love it. I use it to vaccum my cars (had to buy a hose attachment). And to vaccum the house.
Its not going to replicate a plug-in house vaccum. But it does get the job done, especially in small spaces (cars). I don't use my plug-in at all anymore. This one is just so convenient that I actually vaccum my car and house more often.
If it were cheaper I'd buy more of them just to have around the house. Im a Ryobi power tool person so all the batteries interchange.
I haven't used my house plug-in ever since purchasing mine. My $0.02
These are pretty good vacuums. Compared to the countless other cordless vacuums we have tried, I rate this as good or better than most in the categories that are important to me. Keep in mind that a 2Ah battery could be frustrating with this vac unless you are using it in very small areas. The 4Ah is barely big enough for the area that my central vacuum doesn't reach conveniently, about 500 sqft. But if you have other ONE+ Ryobi tools this is a great deal, $100 in batteries means you are only paying $100 for the vacuum. Compared to the countless other cordless vacuums we have tried,

This is a decent review if you would share some light on what better. This is in fact what makes SD the best. Not just a meh there is better and not give a better suggestion at a better price point. There will always be better

I bought one of these a few months ago that I found on clearance, and I've been really impressed by the ease of use, battery longevity (with 4Ah), and the capability. I wasn't expecting too much because I really wanted something to clean up after small DIY projects, particularly on carpet. My Milwaukee M18 small wet-dry vac really sucks, but it's a pain to use (and is insanely loud). This Ryobi has quickly become a favorite, and my wife grabs it more often now than the Dyson cordless that we have.

as others have mentioned, heavy and low power
i still use it, but often daydream about the power of my old dyson
