Ryobi's 18V ONE plus portable inverter is a handy way to get a 3 prong outlet from an 18V battery, and it can even run a Traeger, a fan, auger, and controller for a while. It also works well for small jobs like charging a phone in the garage or powering LED lights, with a 4Ah battery lasting about 5 hours in light use. The main limits are that it is an older modified sine wave model, not the newer pure sine wave version, and it will not handle heating elements for long. The $65 kit adds a 2Ah battery and charger, but the deal looks less compelling next to lower priced inverter only options.

2nd on the still around, least as of yesterday. Store I was at had 2 different packages, one in clear plastic and the other in a cardboard box, both rang up at the $65 price.
BTW the pure sine wave one is Model # PCLBG06K, not this one. Kinda crazy looks like there's 3 different Ryobi models with slightly different specs...

This will probably power the fan, auger, and interface for a bit, but definitely not the heating elements.
Heating element only runs for like 10 mins until the pellets start. Something like 400w for 10 mins, then 50w the rest of the time.

Forgive me if I'm off on this, but doesn't 2Ah convert to 2,000mah, which is less than most phones?

Ah is a really poor way of measuring energy, but it's the only thing most power banks advertise. This battery is 2Ah at 18.5V, so 37 Watt hours. A power bank assumes a single cell of 3.7V even if there are more cells in series, because Ah looks bigger at 3.7V. they may even assume 3.7V even if it's LifePO4 cells that actually run at 3.2V. Anyway, a 2Ah battery at 3.7V would have 7.2Wh energy, 1/5 the amount. If everyone advertised in Wh then you could do a direct comparison.

This is an older "modified sine wave" model. I don't know about Ryobi, but I've seen others advertise a modified sine wave and they deliver a square wave. Modified waves work fine with some electronics and poorly with others. I never like risking it so I always pay extra for pure.
In this case I had to wait until now when they finally came out with a pure model. I just received the newer 200W Ryobi inverter. Except for a weird small squiggle around 0 it has a better sine wave than my wall outlet. It also does 65W USB PD input and output.

I love this thing. I can charge my phone in the garage while I airbrush. For Halloween and Christmas I wrap led lights around my kids jeep stroller and use this to power it. A 4ah battery lasts like 5 hours more or less. For incandescent lights you might get 30minutes lol
