I don't mind "Heavy Cotton" in the summer - it's a a little cooler. But Ultra Cotton is great in shoulder seasons and as a layer in winter.
The different is 5.3oz vs 6oz per sq m of fabric.

Have tried multiple Gildan models and can confirm this. The G2000 (short-sleeve t-shirt) is a heavier weight at 6oz and feels nicer, imo.

I purchased these a few weeks ago. They were not heavy and they were way bigger than other Gildan heavy cotton shirts I have. Loose and stretchy is not my look. Not sure what the deal was but had to return.
