I think I got a bad coupon. The cashier scanned it and it didn't work, either. It is also not working on anything full price online.
My coupon appeared to be a color photocopy on 8.5" x 11" paper. After I used it successfully online, I sent a pic to my daughter to use online and she got the invalid message so maybe they were uniquely numbered.

Came back from the event this morning. The coupons are full 8.5 x 11 printed on thicker paper. Verified my coupon worked online before leaving the store (I'll make my purchase online to get cashback).

I called store day before and was told event started at 7am. My son and I showed up at 7:15 and they had not started yet. Rep said the event starts at 10, but since we were there, he would take care of us. We each turned in an old nicad battery, 1 craftsman, 1 B&D. He did not even look at them. He took the new batteries and charger out of box - said some people had tried bringing back battery for refund. We each got a coupon with a unique code (sequential). He also showed the $99 BOGO special and said coupon would work for that. Rep also mentioned that there were other upcoming events if I found more batteries. Great experience - Thanks SD 🙂

Several of the sites I've seen on the list, including mine, are NOT "large urban areas". There are cows and goats grazing within a mile of that store.

Just completed round 2. Mission Valley Lowe's in San Diego was super dead at 8 AM, but myself and at least 2 other people were able to exchange batteries and get the free Tabless 3 Ah battery kit and the $50 off coupon. They only had about 25 of these to give away. Last week they ended up running out of coupons near the end of the day, but in the end they gave away all the batteries and coupons. I also made a purchase in store. Got the $99 bogo deal for $49.00. This time I snagged the V20 Vacuum. Last week was the palm router. Since I made a purchase on the spot the Craftsman guys also gave me a free hat! Still have 3 old batteries left for the next one or two on the calendar. Goodtimes.

So I went to the store with 2 people. Both gave a battery and got a new one, and we were both given coupons. The coupons had the same exact number on the barcode and both coupons are "invalid" online.

So did craftsman guy f up and printed out the exact same coupon and hand it out to everyone at that store? What are the chances they can make it right?
