Before that I had floor speakers and a subwoofer connected to a 5.1 home theater Yamaha amp with dozens of inputs on the back and all the EQ and room settings you'd ever want, and it was good, but it was large and power hungry and you'd have to turn it on to use it ... it was just all around inconvenient.
I'm thinking about these Monoprice ones for my home office computer, but I'm worried about their sound quality.
