Got excited this was for physical. Digital? Never.
Why store a pile of plastic that you have to dig through to see a movie? I'm getting too old for that.

Because any of these companies will all of a sudden 'invalidate' the 'license' to your film. I want to own my products.

I would tend to agree with you except for no-rush credits.

A Knight's Tale is new, and only came out in 4K this spring. The 4K Disc has an advantage, because it also has the extended version on it in 4K.

Excellent list. I know some are really opposed to digital but I've been digital for many years now without issue. Very experiential but must say I love having the digital menu instead of rifling through physical copies scattered about.

Because you own it. And bitstream is higher. And audio stuff. If none of that matters, then yeah, no point in digging through plastic.

And how many licenses have ever been invalidated? 🙄

I'm an a/v and home theater enthusiast, just build a new HT in a new home over five figures. I'm not about to stream low quality fake 4K and low bitrate audio.
To be direct, I've seen so many types of movies change over the years from different platforms. Look at the streaming platforms where they keep degrading the quality and forcing ads now. You don't own that digital file.
