Because any of these companies will all of a sudden 'invalidate' the 'license' to your film. I want to own my products.

I'm an a/v and home theater enthusiast, just build a new HT in a new home over five figures. I'm not about to stream low quality fake 4K and low bitrate audio.
To be direct, I've seen so many types of movies change over the years from different platforms. Look at the streaming platforms where they keep degrading the quality and forcing ads now. You don't own that digital file.
That's nice, but has nothing to do with how many licenses have ever been invalidated?

Good list for using up digital credits on Amazon and even Prime Credit Card Points if you want to have one of these for a single night watch that you are planning with friends or just a day to kick it.
Nice work OP. I appreciate the effort and I tend to grab the missing movie or so to fill in a gap in a series for a binge day.
BTW, The Intern (2015) [amazon.com] (7.1, MA) is $14.99

I can provide many articles where this has happened.

Because you own it. And bitstream is higher. And audio stuff. If none of that matters, then yeah, no point in digging through plastic.
I keep an IMDB type database of physical copies of movies that are stored on shelves in alphabetical order. I don't have to "dig" through anything, and I have something that's important to me, at least, I own them. I do see the value in digital, but I guess it comes down to personal preference.

The first example didn't happen. The user moved countries and didn't know how to access the movies.

I haven't lost any digital movies. Physical makes sense for your favorite movies, but I don't need all 2,000+ of them on disc.

I don't disagree with you though I am very anti digital. Look where we are today... no vehicle has a CD player. Everything has to be streamed and subscribed to in a car. Now movies are no longer sold in stores, and everything is streaming there. And we all know they keep taking away movies, adding advertisements, lowering 4K/HD while charging more for the service. So I avoid anything that "feeds the beast" of a digital only world.

On top of that, as an audio purist, nothing beats a home theater and proper setup. I greatly appreciate a film that shakes/rattles/rolls the house.
