I'd check the reviews for the different models, unfortunately Samsonite uses a wide variety of wheels on their suitcases and a lot of them are bad, they're somewhat notorious for it. Was a surprise when I got that Samsonite to replace my Delsey.

The wheels on this is complete trash. Saw these recently at Ross. Its like they want you to throw it out once the paper thin rubber on the wheels go bad. My Ricardo of BH and Nike fiftyone49 rolling bag hav been holding up for over 20 years thanks to its servicable design (wheels/handle).

Measurements are larger than the standard limits for US domestic airlines (22 x 14 x 9) - For this bag: 22.5in H x 15in L x 10in W. So too tall, too wide, and too thick for most domestic carriers. Yeah, people get away with it most of the time, but given the pressure on airline profits due to very high jet fuel prices, don't be surprised if they start checking. A few years ago, I booked a flight with American Airlines, one of the legs of the trip ended up being rebooked on US Air, at the time an affiliate carrier of American. (This was after they were made a merger offer by American but before it went through). I had an American Airlines Credit Card (which if it had been American would have been a free checked bag). The counter person decided to check my bag, it was over by 1 inch wide and by 1 inch thick. She dIdn't care that US Air was about to part of American nor that my flight was originally on American (which would have been free). So I was dinged for baggage fees for an over sized carry on, hence I now tend to be a stickler for checking carry-on bag sizes.

Many times all they need is lubrication or a piece of paper is stuck in the wheels' casing.

I was looking at the softside also but it is oversized for carry-on by almost 2" on height
Carry-On Overall Dimensions: 23.75in H x 15in L x 10in W
(no larger than 22 x 14 x 9 inches)
And the comments about the wheels made it a no go for me.
