For what it's worth, I've been using this same monitor for years and have not had any issues. It's great for gaming. Maybe panel inconsistencies are to blame?

The size and curved screen is tempting. How is this for a non-gamer? This would be an extended display for remote work and also for photography editing, watching movies, general browsing, etc.

On a screen this wide, curved is superior.With a regular flat screen you definitely feel like you have to tilt your head to see things on the right, then tilt the other side to see the left half

I have this and bought it about 3 weeks back. I only use it for productivity - outlook, PowerPoint, Teams etc and I have no concerns. I use it in a fairly bright room and leave it at 70% brightness. I have not noticed any dead pixels but have not done a deep scan either.
