Don't be fooled, this is the normal price for the soup bowl. You can buy a 6-pack on Amazon for $23.99 ($3.99 a bowl), currently on sale on Amazon for $22.49 ($3.75 a bowl). Smh.

If you're near an Ikea, they seem to have a forever sale on their Oftast line of white tempered glass dinnerware (similar to Corelle). Everything is $1 except for the 9 in serving bowl, which is $2.49. Otherwise in this $1 collection are a 9 3/4 in plate, 8 in bowl, and a 7 1/2 in side plate. Unfortunately at this price there is no delivery and you have to check your local store for availability.

The oftast is a good alternative. I have both, but prefer Corelle because the lip makes it easier for my weak hands to grip and hold. (The oftast is more likely to slip through my hands).

I've been waiting to get Corelle replacements when a deal struck. There's definitely a better deal if you want more than 2 18-Oz Corelle Winter Frost Soup Bowl.

I looooove the salad bowl. I grew up eating pasta and salads on a plate, never even thinking to buy a specific bowl for it. Until one day, I got a deal on them, thinking they would be good soup bowls. Well, they aren't good soup bowls, but I can't believe I went this long without owning pasta and salad bowls. They are one of my favorite dishes now.

Its been a mixed bag for me, some I drop and it would bounce. Others I ladle soup and it would pop in half, one time one came out of the dishwasher in pieces while the ones next to it were perfectly fine.
