I would get the 18v version as the batteries are cheaper.

I use my 40v for the real big stuff.

The canceled my order at $19.97. Chatted support and they said it was a pricing issue they are not responsible for. The cancellation email had an ad for the fan at $19.97! They still would not honor.

Wow! A 40v fan! I have 2 of the 18v and they are great. I just don't see the market on a 40v but hey who am I?

Yes, it seems like overkill for a fan. I have four 40v batteries from where I bought the rear tine tiller. This is an itty bitty fan to be using such a big battery. The 40v light is more practical from an emergency lighting standpoint.
