Let's say I want to use this for a 8-10ft solid wood top, my large monitor is wall mounted. And I don't really have a lot of stuff on the desk, will it just look funny?

Not knocking this, but please do your research. A lot of the cheaper tables are cheap because they have subpar motor and the companies dont stand by their product. I ended up recently getting an UPLIFT desk frame only. Which comes with the motors and offer a lot more accessories such as bluetooth control and underside PC holder. I also did not like Uplift's table tops as I was looking for a 6 foot X 3 foot wide desk top. So i had bought one at home depot on sale, cut, and mounted. The motors push the desk top really fast and lifted me as well. Uplift is also backed by a 10 year warranty and located in TX. Highly recommend to do your homework on any lifting table so you dont waste your money and time. Cheers

We have 6 of these, not one problem with any of them. All purchased between like 2021-2025.
.
One has $ studio gear on top.
.
All have Ikea solid/plywood tops. Custom tops were too much $, but some day maybe.
I put wheels on all of them, much better than sliders.

Have a different one (dual motor, but 3 stage- not sure if they still sell it) for over 5 years... I have a heavy butcher block as plot 6ft x 3 ft, 49in monitor and laptop on top of it, plus other regular office crap( paper pens, binders etc.) It has been solid all those years.
That been said, I am happy with mine, i have never contacted them, so no idea how good customer service is.

PS. I prefer the 3 stage as it goes a tad lower than the 2 stage ones. Just my personal preference.

Don't put too much weight on the highly rated reviews.

They offer to pay for removal of bad reviews. They sent numerous emails of increasing value, before I replied and rejected it.

Their customer service isn't great. I was sent a bad unit. I replaced within the return period with Amazon. TOPSKY then said I no longer have any warranty, because the replacement was the warranty.

Basically, they're okay with giving you a bad product. But if you're okay knowing that, go for it.
