Great game, solid price.

I still don't understand the purpose of the code in box format though. It's just a digital game code that comes with a case. The biggest downside of physical media is all the cases and space they take up. Now you get that plus the downsides of digital.

Allows them to sell in retail, prevents people from reselling/buying used and saves them money of not having to create gamecards.

Those are all advantages for the manufacturer, not the consumer. The second is actually a major disadvantage for the consumer. I just don't get the appeal unless there's some exceptional deal like this thats as cheap or cheaper.

As for them saving money on key cards, they still have to pay to distribute the case. They could actually sell it digitally at a lower price and maintain the same profit margin (or the same price at a higher profit). Nobody wins when it comes to pricing vs digital.

I prefer physical games, but when it comes to downloads I see no advantage to a code in box over a regular download.

It's not intended to be for the benefit of consumers. It's for game distributors to cut costs associated with brick and mortar distribution while not limiting themselves to only a single digital distribution platform.
