Be ware with this heat sink. I had an sk Hynix ssd and this heat sink. After 2 years, the ssd was bent. Could have been the ssd or the heat sink

Do these make much difference in a run-of-the-mill office pc that is not overclocked or anything with no graphics card?

This is really only needed on a gen4/5 nvme that is being actively used. What type of PC the nvme is used it doesn't really matter.

"actively used"
I mean... the OS is installed on it.

my 4tb ssd has no heatsink on PS5. The reviewer wrote that it wasn't needed and he was right. Works just fine without one.

So it's advertised as a PS5 NVMe heating. But I take it that it also works as a regular heating and can be installed in a PC motherboard?

Is it a 50/50 with heatsink-less SSDs for PS5? I see mixed reviews here and there and haven't gotten to bother installing a second SSD on mine yet.
