The Echelon Connect Sport 2 is a basic magnetic-resistance spin bike that works well for home cardio, especially when paired with the QZ app and Peloton app instead of Echelon software. The no screen setup keeps things simple, and the bike can provide useful metrics like cadence, speed, distance, resistance, and watts through Bluetooth. Fit and comfort are the main tradeoffs, with some riders replacing the seat or pedals and noting limited adjustment for taller users. Firmware updates and app changes can affect QZ support, so leaving it alone matters.
The bike can work with the QZ app and Peloton app via Bluetooth for full ride metrics.
The resistance system uses manual magnetic levels and avoids electronically controlled resistance issues.
Setup can feel high quality for the price, and installation may take about 45 minutes.
Some units reportedly connect with QZ without downloading the Echelon app or updating firmware.
The screen can go dead quickly and may require warranty replacement to restore functionality.
The speed sensor can cut in and out and may worsen over time, which can skew ride stats.
Firmware updates may break QZ support, so updating the bike can create connectivity problems.
Some shipments may arrive without a manual or instructions, which can complicate assembly and setup.

I don't have this specific model but similar
the angles are all wrong compared to a real road bike, for the seat and handlebars and they have extremely limited adjustment
you are far better off getting ANY kind of cheap low end 10-12 speed bike and putting it on the Thinkrider trainer when it comes on sale below $200, it's been as cheap as $150 with aliexpress.us codes
just my 2 cents, $130 may seem cheap but you will want to re-buy something else soon enough, these devices are only as good as you are comfortable enough to use it often, otherwise becomes a clothes hangar

wait for another sale if you want to use an indoor trainer often and want something comfortable
if i compare this type of bike to a upright stationary bike, this type of bike a better work out than a upright stationary bike?
if i compare this type of bike to a upright stationary bike, this type of bike a better work out than a upright stationary bike?
is it better than some cheap wireframe fake indoor cycle? sure
but if you are serious about staying in shape if you can't run, etc. for some reason and plan to ride an hour a day indoors, what I am saying is take that $130 and put it towards something decent
even the cheapest road bike is far more adjustable and can use far more accessories than these clunky things
so in hindsight I wish I had snagged the thinkrider trainer around $150 instead with a cheap road bike on it
plus the thinkrider has a real power meter built in
you may think well it has speed and cadence so that is enough
but watches like Garmin will not track your cycling fitness without a real power meter feeding it actual effort levels, it won't even try to guess your vo2max
it all comes down to how serious you are going to be
if you are going to ride an hour daily and need motivation, get the thinkrider and save the $130
you don't even need a functioning road bike, any thrown away bike because of bad wheels will do as long as the chain flows, you can get a stand for the fork instead of a wheel
I found a PDF of the manual and assembled it, but the pedals won't turn (I did pull the shipping lock from the front "wheel").
Does it "need" app connectivity to unlock the pedals? Based on other posts, I downloaded QZ app, and it found the bike and connected fine. I have not downloaded the Echelon app for fear of locking my bike w/ current firmware.
Edit: This is where the physical manual vs trying to view it on my phone would have helped, but I found the shipping brake that was being fastened by 2 6mm hex bolts on the bottom. Reviewing the manual on my desktop vs phone, I see it on step 2...
