With $39 trillion dollars in debt, war expense, money printing, precious metals are one of the best ways to hold the value of your dollar!

Maybe, but where can you buy for less? However, if you have Costco Executive Membership, you get 2% cash back. If you have the Citibank Costco Card, you get an additional 2% cash back. So take off 4% off of the price and I'm pretty sure it's below spot.

Well over?.. Spot price is currently $81.80. Use any credit card with cash back and it's a bit under spot price.

lol i'm replying to myself.

Let me do the math. $1650 for 20. This is $82.50 per ounce.

$82.50 per ounce - $1.65 (2% Costco Cashback) - $1.65 (2% Citibank Costco credit card) = $79.20 /ounce.
Depending on when and where you look (I use APMEX at https://www.apmex.com/silver-price), they have silver spot at $82.59/ounce.

APMEX silver spot of $82.59 per ounce- $79.20 net Costco cost per ounce = $3.39/ounce below spot!

https://www.kitco.com/ is a better source if you want to be more precise. Most of the major online retailers pad the ticker prices a bit to help counter the volatility and add to their profits.

Cool, thanks for the info. $81.58 - $79.20 = $2.38 below spot!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing that this isn't a good deal considering current spot prices. Just pointing out that sites like APMEX always inflate their listed spot price by at least a bit.

LOL. I read my response and thought it wouldn't come through right so I changed it. Sorry about that.

What is the purpose of buying all these gold and silver bar at Costco?
Are people planning on selling them in the future? Typically, how much profits after fees?

Most ain't buying them as "investments" as they claim . It's just people with extra funds to spend trying to save outside the dollar in case of a crash

I'm not talking about the SHTF scenario. I'm just trying to preserve my money instead of letting it sit and get devalued in a savings account. I hope the SHTF never happens.
