Woot! has the QNAP QSW-M3216R-8S8T Half-width Rackmount 16-Port 10GbE Layer 2 Web Managed Network Switch for $450, 25% off the normal price:

Limit 10 per customer, free shipping for Amazon Prime customers. I haven't seen this switch go on sale often and not this low. It's a solid choice for a Layer 2 web managed switch that supports VLANs, port aggregation, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol for loop detection, etc. while having fans that are quiet enough for a home office (max power consumption 48.632W). The 8 x RJ-45 ports are multi-gigabit ports that support multiple speeds (10G / 5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M). The 8x SFP+ ports support things like fiber optic transceivers and direct-attach cables. Total non-blocking throughput is 160Gbps, switching capacity 320Gbps.

The closest competitor from a reputable brand is the TRENDnet TEG-7124WS 12-Port 10G Web Smart Switch which sells for $480 right now, and has gone on sale for as low as $430 last year. The TEG-7124WS is fairly similar from a specifications standpoint, but has four fewer SFP+ ports and the web management interface and some of the features will have some minor differences.

I don't recommend this switch. You can't have the default vlan 1 empty and shut down. You're forced to leave one port and even then, it can't be shut down. Console is there but it is useless. Youre privilege level 1 and unable to go into conf mode.

To be fair, it advertises itself as a web managed switch, not a console and web managed switch. Those would be important features in an office environment, and people have spoke positively of the QNAP UI compared to brands like Mokerlink. Do you know how the TRENDnet TEG-7124WS compares? I haven't seen anything head to head.

The image shows a console port on the right.

I am curious on whos use case this makes sense for. The need for 16 10GBe ports is not very standard to have lying around
